Welcome to the Invermere Summit Youth Centre

Welcome to the Summit Youth Centre This is THE place in Invermere where youth ages of 12 and 18 can meet, hang out and enjoy some great times with friends. Some of the nightly activities available at the centre include: pool, Foosball, board games and video games. Youth may also check out our monthly calendar for activities that include: trips to the Hot Springs, movie nights, glow bowling, snowshoeing, tobogganing, open mic nights, art, or cooking workshops, ultimate Frisbee and dances... just to name a few. Youth are welcome to use the Wifi and computers are also available to check your Facebook or browse the internet (or finish up your homework.) Our regular hours are posted here, on our website, however, at times we will alter the hours to take advantage of opportunities or out of school days. We are open after school and on Saturdays. The centre is run as a drop in centre so any youth is welcome to come and drop in with no commitments. We do also provide memberships for youth who wish to for $1 per year. All you have to do is sign up and you get a free pop! At the Summit Youth Centre we promote a safe, bully free, drug and alcohol free space lead by amazing staff invested in the well-being of Invermere youth. SUMMIT AND THE COMMUNITY Our goals go beyond the doors of THE SUMMIT. Every youth is encouraged to become an active member in the community by giving back and promoting good citizenship. Whether choosing to participate in the Youth Advisory Council to the Board of Directors, volunteering at a community enhancement event or offering a friendship to another youth struggling with some of life’s challenges. When opportunities warrant we will collaborate with likeminded youth agencies throughout the Valley to give the best programming to the youth of the valley. The Windermere Valley Youth Centre Society, lead by a voluntary board of directors, and THE SUMMIT are committed to celebrating the potential of the individual and respect all our uniquenesses. LETS PAINT A BRIGHTER FUTURE TOGETHER.
